The New Forest
The New Forest is just on the door step, for walking, cycling and seeing the ponies running wild on the commons.
Walking and Cycling
There are so many beautiful walks to be enjoyed within the New Forest and Test Valley. Take a stroll and see where you end up! With plenty of good pubs in the area, you can easily plan your walk so you end up at one for a rewarding meal or drink at the end.
Horse Riding
A fun day out for equine-enthusiasts and children alike.
Golf
With several high end gold courses in the area, such as Hamptworth, Wellow, Bramshaw, Romsey and more, there’s plenty of choice for golfers.
The South Coast
Lymington, Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole are only a short drive away for coastal walks or beach visits.
Lyndhurst
Lyndhurst is the heart of the Forest, where there is also a museum about the history of the New Forest, as well as many pretty villages besides.
Historic Cities
The cities of Salisbury and Winchester, with their history and cathedrals, and the pretty towns of Romsey and Stockbridge are all within easy reach and are well worth a visit.
